Chapter 1

“Ah! The smell of fresh homework,” said Sarah Clutton as she took a pen and jotted down some notes on her notebook about trees.

Sarah is a lovely girl who only loves nature. She was 13 years of age and about five feet tall. She has blue, sharp eyes and brown, straight hair. Sarah wore jagged green clothing with light brown pants and pink converse. She lives in a small city in California, in a cottage near 1st street and her school was down by that road with her mother and father.

“Let’s study for our test at my house Glen,” Sarah asked

“Okay...” Glen Mur answered and sighed as they steadily walked to Sarah’s Cottage.

The cottage inside was very well designed. Though it was old, her family renovated it into a spiffy house with a moose head above the fireplace. Even though that was clean, Sarah’s Room isn’t. It was filled with papers and equipment that she barely used. When they traversed into the house, they waved at Sarah’s parents.

“Be a good girl in there,” Mom alerted Sarah, as they went up the stairs into Sarah’s room.

After they studied, the homework, and dinner, Sarah waved at Glen as she went home. Following, Mom touched Sarah’s shoulder and said, “Come with me, I need to talk to you.

Sarah nervously followed Mom into the master bedroom’s closet and had a small talk about their grandfather. Mom concluded the discussion with a story.

“In the 1800’s, our grandfather researched the center of the earth for five years. After he conducted the research, he invented the Life Crystal which overpowers the mind of history. It makes dead plants and animals revive and come alive again, as of asking God a second chance. Though of a special success on the findings and creation, the drawbacks are that the crystal can be only be used up to three times, and once the crystal breaks, the world is lost. Since he knows about the crystal, he escaped to make further notes, not noticing about me and went to the Forest of Life. There, he finds a village with strange caveman and-“

Sarah interrupted the story with a brief pause of yawning. Confused, she asked, “What were you saying again?”

“As I was saying,” continued Mom, “When our grandfather saw these caveman, they were pleading to him that their tree has been destroyed by the beasts of the forest and they need their help to save the village. So he used the crystal and the tree grew into a storm of branches, grasping the fresh air it could get. Though life gets into the happiness, a tiger blew out of the bushes and slash! He... *Sniff* did... not... *Sniff* Sniff*”

While she is heavily crying, trying to find a reason why her father does not exist, she sees Sarah dosing off to the story and slept heavily through the darkened night. Mon picked her up into her messy room and kissed her by the head. She knowed there is a solution to this terrible death of her grandfather.

Chapter 2

“Who are you?” Sarah asked to this white blob.

“I came to ask you a special task, so special, that it contains a hidden feature to your soul,” Replied the blob.

“Where is the designated area I must encounter?”

“The Forest of Honesty is your destination. Go there immediately and hurry! Time is haste.”

Then the voice came silent.

*RIIIING*

The alarm clock struck at 6, shaking violently as Sarah tried slamming the clock with her gentle hands.

Tired, she set out her sleepy body out of her room and ate breakfast in the dining area.

“Why do I keep hearing voices?” thought Sarah, as she ate her alphabet cereal, “Does it feel important to enter the gate, which I will never go back?”

Then something strange happened. The letters in the cereal somewhat created words, creating an important message to stand in against Sarah’s laziness, and saying: DEPART THIS AREA NOW OR RESULT AN EVENT THAT COULD BE FOREVER IN YOUR LIFE

Sarah jumped out of the table, hesitated. She packed her valuables in a suitcase to remember her parents, tools such as a hammer, a tent to sleep in including blankets and pillows, sandwiches in case of hunger, books to prevent from being bored, and stones from her backyard. She waved goodbye to her house, departed to the silent, and entered the Forest of Hope, the largest forest of the city.

“This looked huger than the hugest park I’ve ever seen!” noticed Sarah as she tried to get past the gate with her bare hands... then the hammer... then the rocks. Unfortunately, none of the utensils does work, “E-gad! This doesn’t work. I got to tell Glen.”

Glen Mur is a shadow looking girl that is very drowsy in activities at the age of 13. She has brown eyes and black hair that is always blocking half of her view. She wears black and grey stripes, blue worn out jeans, and sparkling sneakers. She always gets straight A’s and first was in catholic school.

Glen had an unusual morning at 7:30 with light on one side, black onto the other, affecting her vision. She changed and opened the front door.

“Get out of my house! I’m trying to sleep,” she snarled at Sarah as she slammed the door.

As she violently walked back to her bedroom, she noticed this feeling in her mind about losing Sarah’s relationship at this time. Instead, she rushed down to the door and opened Sarah’s feelings and apologized.

“No time to apologize right away Glen,” Sarah replied, “Get all your important items and utensils. We’re going on a very long nature walk.”

Glen froze for a moment and ran upstairs to get everything she needs to stay protected. After 10 minutes, both Glen and Sarah walked all the way back to the entrance to the Forest of Honesty.

“This is the part that keeps making me frustrated,” Sarah complained as the gate slowly opened, “I used rocks, a hammer, even my bare hands during this test of entry...”

“Uh... Sarah, the gate,” Glen interrupted Sarah, though she completely ignored the comment.

“It took me more than 30 minutes even not even thinking about the plan. So that’s why-“

*Rumble, Rumble*

The gate opened as wide as it could. Glen sighed as Sarah happily jumped for joy. They are ready to begin this enthusiastic adventure, one step at a time with arguments and surprises waiting at the checkpoints at the Forest of Honesty.

“Are you ready?” Sarah shakily asked.

Glen nodded nervously, as never ever playing an RPG video game.

Slowly, they crossed the gates through the forest.

Chapter 3

The branches of trees in the Forest of Honesty cover slow paces of the two girls.

The Forest of Hope is a spectacular area filled with trees and more trees. Each tree watched the visitors carefully if anything bad happens in the forest (including littering) will ensure death by the next hour. There are many animals in the enchanted forest, almost all kinds of animals can be found by the naked eye. The next feature of helping the trees are adding garbage cans made out of their bark.

As the girls followed deeply from a path of dirt, the dirt path seems to disappear and Sarah started to hesitate.

“What’s going to happen if we don’t find our way back?” Sarah hesitated.

“Don’t worry,” Glen replied in a peaceful voice as they continued walking, “we’ll continue down this grassy path until we get back in track.”

As they steadily stride the grassy path, they encountered a fork in the path with the same grass patch on one path and the regular dirt path on the other.

“What are we going to do? What are we going to do?” questioned Sarah in a nervous voice.

“I’m not sure,” answered Glen, which she was getting furious about Sarah’s whining.

“Ah! We’re all going to die!”

“Don’t worry. At least it’s still morning. We need to think about this situation before testing out which path we need to take.”

15 minutes past the decision, Glen still can’t think about which path to take because Sarah keeps being hesitated and breathes very hard. Then Sarah became so crazy, that she bumped into a tall tree called the Tree of Hints and Tricks. A note fell down into Glen’s wonderful, glimmering hands.

“Hey! How did this fell here?” She asked herself, “Anyways. Sarah, listen to this small note. It reads: IF YOU GO LEFT, YOU FIND SHELTER AND MORE PRESSURE. IF YOU GO RIGHT, A SHORTCUT WILL BE COLLECTED, AND SPIKY TERRAIN WILL BE ENCOUNTERED. I don’t know which way shall-“

“I know I know!” Sarah interrupted with a small, sparkling smile, “Let’s go right!”

“Good Idea Sarah, but if we go left, we could find some villagers of the forest so we can investigate why we are here.”

Sarah stayed silent with a nod staying with secrets in her head. She did not spat the words out onto Glen’s beautiful but messy face.

“Then let’s go!” Glen shouted with perseverance that they will slowly continue the path of the forest without creating arguments and be separated.

As the girls passed the left path, the gate magically closed the bars so the girls won’t guess again and chose the other path. There won’t be turned back for this adventure as the heroines travel through the dirt path of the Forest of Honesty. Not forgetting that Sarah is on a mission to find her grandfather’s life crystal.

Chapter 4

Ten minutes down the dirt path in the Forest of Hope, the girls meet sprinkles of water rushing down their girl’s skin.

“A sprinkle of rain would never hurt much,” said Sarah in a cheery voice as she kicked a rock in the path as rain poured down onto the girls harder.

“Won’t you stop kicking rocks,” suggested Glen as she inspected how the rain fell hard, “you’ll kill the forest in one small pebble. By the way, do we have any umbrellas we can use?”

Sarah shrugged.

“You’re kidding me!” shirked Glen as she flabbergasted along the way, “Now we are going to go to our destination with our flabby bodies in the drenched rain!”

I’m sorry. Let’s reset the beginning a little bit.

Twenty minutes down the wet dirt path in the Forest of Hope, the soaked, awkward girls meet pockets of downpour tumbling the girls balance.

“Do we have something in your inventory so that we could free ourselves from the rain?” Glen asked.

“I have a tent inside my suitcase,” replied Sarah as she almost forgot that she still held her case.

20 minutes later, the tent is hooked up. It blocked the outside, though the inside is still soaked with leftover liquid. Like it or not, the girls spend their time playing Go Fish with Glen’s “just in case” playing cards.

“Have any aces?” Sarah asked in a soft voice.

“Go Fish,” Glen lied, but as Sarah is about to pick out a card, some rumbling noises came screaming down in her stomach.

“Ah, time to eat some sandwiches,” Sarah said as she and Glen looked at of the sandwiches.

After the sandwiches were gone, Sarah felt very sleepy. Glen uses her extra time to inspect Sarah and the weather. She sometimes seemed bored so she laid her job and reads a few books. Still, she felt so bored that she fell asleep on top of Sarah, dozing off her natural settings.

30 minutes while the girls lay snoozing as loud as they could, two moles (a son and its mother) took a stroll in the sunny, relaxing, though soggy grass path. As the son mole spreads its arms across the meadow too quickly, that he bumped right into the tent.

*Thud*

“What happened?” Sarah questioned as she yawned. She almost dozed off.

Glen felt sorry for not caring for Sarah and being lazy. She hurried out of the tent and investigated what happened and saw the mole.

“Aww, she’s sooo cute!” Glen said to the little mole

“I’m not a girl!” screamed the mole as he slapped Glen at her unsteady legs.

Glen tripped.

“I’m coming to save you,” Sarah scurried to the area where Glen was.

As Sarah was getting Glen up, the handsome mole she spotted with her own sight interrupted her.

“It’s so cute!” she was gleaming bright as the mole stood there shy.

“There you are,” the mother came as she gasped for air.

“It’s all her fault!” he complained as he pointed to Sarah right in the face, now cross.

Sarah was speechless. First Glen, then the mole, she has nothing to counter with.

“Don’t worry my dear,” the mother said as she helped Glen stabilize herself, “It’s just my son. Want to come to our burrow? We have plenty of room in store for you two.”

“Sure,” agreed Sarah as she and Glen packed up the tent and followed the moles into their burrow.

Outside the burrow is just a hole with doors, but inside, it was just like what a normal house would be.

“Want some cookies before our little talk?” asked the mother.

“What talk,” Sarah said, unsatisfied on the idea of having a small talk other than, “Greetings.”

“It’s just minor. Only 10 minutes and you could do whatever you want.”

“So, let’s discuss this dream,” explained the mother mole, “Oops! I almost forgot my name. My name is Mother Mole.”

“My name is Sarah and this is my naughty friend, Glen.”

Glen rolled her mouth.

“So Sarah, I have a small story just for you”

So it started last night. I was sleeping deeply when this huge flash clicked into my room. I heard this voice saying that two girls will come by the next day. I was confused. What does that mean? I was curious of what I was going to meet. After the message, the room went black and I dozed back to sleep.

“What does that remind you of Sarah?” asked Glen.

Mother Mole thought for a moment and answered back

“So you two were the chosen ones”

Sarah nodded.

“Well then. You amazed me! Then I’ll tell you a story about your grandfather in my perspective. Glen, could you take care of my son while we talk?”

Glen sighed and started to make silly faces with Mother Mole’s son.

Your grandfather was a threat to our village. When I saw him with my own eyes, I was pretty furious while I was looking out until *flash* a light spoofed off of my eyes when I saw your grandfather. He was down with scratch marks indicating that he had died. I first thought that I was really excited about the death until a crystal came across me. It felt really special that the crystal had special effects that I sneaked around the village and held this keepsake for the chosen ones.

“And I’m going to give this to you Sarah.”

Sarah was so amazed that Mother Mole gave her the crystal. She now had more confidence about the earth more than herself.

“Time to leave Glen,” Sarah announced to Glen as she stood up. She winked at Mother Mole saying, “Thanks for the info.”

“Don’t forget one thing,” mother reminded as the girls were leaving, “I also saw a tree that has that crystal mark I told you about. The power of the crystal can give you a second chance at your actions with or without the mark so be very cautious.”

“We will,” replied Sarah as the girls exited the burrow.

“I’ll miss those girls,” whispered the mother as she signed off as a farewell.

A crystal is in the girl’s hands as they entered deep inside the forest. Will the girls ever find the tree that Sarah’s grandfather just died?

“10 kilometres done, 10 more to go,” Glen sighed as they walked away from Mother Mole’s Home.

Chapter 5

After a few hours of walking and talking through the forest and met many creatures and knew more about Sarah’s grandfather. The girls finally found the village Mother Mole told about.

“We made it!” Sarah jumped for joy and shook both of Glen’s hands.

“It’s not over yet Sarah,” Glen replied, “its sunset now and we don’t have much time. Look over there that is the tree with the mark of the crystal.”

The girls scurried to the tree where the mark was

“Hurry and find the crystal,” Glen demanded as Sarah hesitated to find the crystal in her bag, not knowing that it was in her pocket.

“HALT. Who goes there?”

The girls froze with their hands up in the air. It was the first time that the girls ever got busted before.

“We are the Honest Police Moles and we come to arrest you filthy humans.”

The girls stood there silent.

“We need to talk to the chosen ones.”

The girls now laid their hands and told them that they were the chosen ones. One of the police officers gasped as the others handcuffed them and pushed them all the way to jail.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

“And stay there!” one of the officers pushed the girls brutally into one of the stinky cells.

“Now what are we going to do?” Glen sobbed, “We almost ran out of time and the earth is going to blow up soon and I didn’t receive my allowance this morning.”

“Don’t worry,” Sarah told Glen as she tried to calm her down.

Remember the officer who gasped? He felt sorry about the girls. He also had a dream about the chosen ones that he needs to rescue them after an event.

So far, he’s doing a very good job of being sneaky. He passed the guards with “flying colours” and used his keys to rescue the girls.

“Sorry girls, we- I mean, I will help you on your adventure,” he said as he opened the lock.

“Thank you for helping us,” said Glen as she shook his hand.

“Hello there, I’m Mike. Welcome to the Village of Honesty. I heard about the chosen ones coming today.”

“We are the chosen ones! Don’t you see,” Sarah glanced at Mike.

“Oh. I did not notice that. Come with me right away, we need to get out of here fast. I know a shortcut that can take us out the back,” Mike instructed them as the girls followed him without letting any guards looking at them.

When they arrived at the back, Mike had something to tell to the girls.

“In this forest, there is a tiger gang waiting for every move we make. Everywhere we hide, they could see. We need your help to stop these predators by putting that crystal of yours to use to stop them.”

“Thanks for the pleasure,” Glen replied, yawning painfully, “but what are we going to do. Every move we do is very important and we don’t want to make one mistake.”

“I know a way!” Sarah said as her brain popped over her head, indicating that she has an idea, “But this plan will be so intense that it will be a daring act. Without this, we’re all goners!”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Everyone agrees to the plan. Mikes sets up all the props and traps around the village, the predators will never find out what will happen. Or will they?

Chapter 6

“It’s time, Sarah whispered to Glen and Mike as she set up the first trap.

It is nighttime and everything was pitching black. The tigers are ready to take over the village.

“3, 2, 1, RAMPAGE!”

The tigers came and wrecked the place they came up onto. They smashed poles, scratching walls from homes, many things that are too devastating. What they don’t know about this area was quite unknown.

The first two of the pack drove in too quickly and got caught in a net. They forgot what happened to the two, so the pack rushed into another trap.

The next three saw a light coming down their path filled with very juicy BBQ. They drove into the table and ate without manners. They never knew that Sarah putted sleeping pills inside the meat, so the three slept like castaways. Now being cautious, the pack started slowing down to find their destination.

“It feels great on you,” Mike told to Glen as she stood there embarrassed.

“Get ready to shine for your life,” Sarah chuckled silently as she pushed Sarah into the path of the pack.

As the pack ran to their destination, they find that Glen is in their way.

“Get her!” yelled the leader of the tigers as the rest denied the command because of how beautiful Glen was dressed as.

“Come and find me,” Glen nervously said as she gently danced away from the tigers hiding her from embarrassment.

The tigers danced to Glen and moved wonderfully to their choreography.

“Fine!” frustrated the tiger leader as he ran across the last of the traps and howled to the moon, “I’ll get it myself.”

“Mike,” hesitated Sarah, as she ran around him, “What are we going to do?”

“We just have to wait,” Mike replied.

“What?” Sarah continued to shriek.

“There is something that I have to talk about. The tigers want to take the greatest item in the Forest of Honesty, The Sword of Hope. Anyone who takes it will have great power, to bring the world peace, or to destroy it. The only way to reveal the sword is to use one of those life crystals you’re holding to the tree that your grandfather.”

With courage, Sarah holds the crystal and sneakily ran across the village.

“HALT!”

Sarah froze in an instant near the tree.

“Give me the crystal of face my wrath and die!”

Chapter 7

The leader of the tigers snarled at Sarah viciously.

“Hand me the crystal this instant!” he yelled.

Sarah said nothing. She stood there as stone.

“Then prepare to be vanquished!” the leader lifted his sharp claws as Sarah threw the crystal up in the air. Then something happened.

The crystal glowed to both creatures as if something’s happening to the earth. Earthquakes shattered around the earth as if it is the end of the world. It stopped shaking after a moment and a glow appeared around the planet. The sword! And it’s on Sarah. Sarah felt the sword and saw characters, saying, “Use with courage and destroy the dark.”

Sarah uses the courage to fight the leader but because of her hesitation, she jiggled the sword, closing her eyes.

“Hmm... You’re not the type. Well, I’ll just break the sword by using this-“

Just as his claws reached the sword, a white light glanced into his face and with might, he yelled as he disintegrated into blank.

Sarah opened her eyes in the morning on the ground with the sword still in her hand and all the moles around her and cheered at her.

“Why is everybody clapping at me?” Sarah questioned, “And where is Glen?”

“I’m coming!” Glen ran to her, exhausted.

“You defeated the dark tiger, leader of all tigers,” explained Mike as he drank some celebration coffee.

“While I was running like forever, the tiger you destroyed made the other tigers disappear.” Glen told Sarah, still exhausted, “I guess they also had their dark power inside them

The mayor came to Sarah and said, “Welcome to the village. Here is the key to the portal whenever you can come back here. Now, let us all P-A-R-T-Y!”

The party was held at the same location till dusk. Sarah learned that her grandfather died naturally after the tigers tried to kill him. He was taken to hospital and created better life with the crystal. He died at age 99. Sarah was enjoyed of what happened to her grandfather as she drank pop and sang some tunes with the rest of the community.

Final Chapter

As the party settled down at the last drops of Sunday, the girls wonder around bored forgetting that the next day is a school day.

“Ahhh!” screamed Sarah, frightening Glen, “Tomorrow’s school. Thank you Mr. Narrator”

Thank you Sarah.

At the home of the girls, their parents got worried, saying the same things by the minute.

“What’s going to happen with our daughter?” the moms told to their dads.

“Should we look inside that forest by the road?”

“No. Let’s burn down the Forest of Hope. I’m getting very sick about those two and I want revenge!”

The girl’s dads came to the rescue to burn the house down that evening. Just when the men are about to fire the forest, a brief flash of light followed by a black hole that looked like a keyhole blinded them, causing two girls to leap into them.

“Are you there dad?” asked Sarah.

In minutes, the men finally woke up from their micro slumber. The dads hugged the girls and aborted the plan. Still, they do not know what happened to the girls and why did they did this. They answered that it was just camping. They kept the whole adventure a secret from their dads

Sarah finished school and came to the Village of Honesty nearly every day at the summer. Glen at the other hand left the neighborhood for the rest of the summer and flew off somewhere in Japan for a vacation. Though at the village, Sarah has an idea.

“Mike, can you create a portal that can lead from here all the way to Japan?”

“Sure can.” answered Mike gently as he coughed along the way, “Just tell me the location and we’ll be done in an hour.”

An hour later, Sarah uses the key to activate the second portal that they made just for her and Glen. Sarah traversed through the portal.

“Surprise!” yelled Sarah at Glen’s ear, “Want to come with me? It will be fun.”

With an unpleasant surprise that Sarah randomly came, she stood up, came with Sarah and when they opened the gate, something spectacular happened.
